Are you wanting to learn how to connect your Spotify and Apple Music profiles to your Jamvana account?
Linking your Spotify and Apple Music profiles will allow you to see all of your analytics from both DSPs all in one place. You’ll be able to see demographic information, which playlists their music has been added to, streams, downloads, and more.
Jamvana makes connecting your accounts really easy with our custom-built, proprietary Music Distribution System (MDS). In this post, we’ll provide step-by-step instructions on how you can link your Spotify and Apple Music to your Jamvana account.
Step by step guide for linking your Apple Music and Spotify profiles to your Jamvana account
1. In your account, click the +Artist or Add Artist tab under the music distribution tab. For both Spotify and Apple Music, you’ll simply enter your artist name in the field.
2. Once you’ve added your artist name, scroll down to Spotify or Apple. You’ll need to verify your account here. If you already have an Apple or Spotify account, simply check, “Yes, I can provide a link.”
3. Add your Artist URI/URL to verify.
4. Once you’ve verified your account, click the save button at the bottom of the page. It’s worth noting that you’ll need to do this verification for every artist name that you release under. If you release another song under another artist name, you’ll need to repeat these steps.
Note: It can take 7-10 business days before the verification goes through. We will notify you once the verification is confirmed on Apple Music and Spotify.
Benefits of linking your Spotify and Apple Music accounts to Jamvana
When your music is pitched to Spotify and Apple Music official playlists, it’s important that the correct profiles are being pitched to the editors. Verifying your profile confirms this information, and makes it easier for Jamvana to successfully pitch your music with the correct pages.
It’s frustrating when other artists pop up on their release pages and can be time consuming to get it straightened out. It can cause confusion for fans visiting their page.
Verifying your profiles is also helpful when delivering your metadata, which is a serious issue for artists when distributing their music to DSPs.
We compiled 10 of the common mistakes musicians make when entering metadata into their distributor.
